Thank you for visiting the Carroll High School section of the website. This website has been prepared in the hope that it will become for parents, students, and visitors to the site, a valuable source of school news and timely information. This website has been developed to enable everyone to become familiar with our school, its policies, and other procedures that are basic for the smooth functioning of our school, as well as to provide you with updated school news, schedules and events.  Our school has a very long tradition and our staff takes great pride in providing a safe and secure learning environment, while at the same time offering a wide array of exciting and challenging academic programs. HISTORY DAY

History Day will meet Friday 3:30-5:00.

AFTER PROM MEETING

The next After Prom parent meeting will be Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 PM in the small commoms.

DMACC BUILDING TRADES PM CLASS

The DMACC construction course that meets in the afternoon will NOT be having class this Thursday, 2/23. Mike Stout will be gone to Ankeny for the afternoon for training. The morning construction class WILL meet on Thursday.

KINS

KINS classes will meet as follows:  Mrs. Keat's, Feb. 21st; Mrs. Clark's ,Feb. 22nd;  Mr. Janning's, Feb. 23rd;  and Mr. Funke, Feb. 24th.

MOCK TRIAL

Mock Trial will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week for full scrimmages to prepare for the courthouse scrimmage this weekend.

ACT DEADLINE

The deadline to sign up for the April 14 ACT test is Friday, March 9.  Go online to www.actstudent.org to sign up.  DMACC bookstore has ordered in study guides and workbooks if you are interested in purchasing one. 

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Dedham American Legion Scholarship is available in the guidance office.  To be eligible you must be a relative of a veteran and a relative of a Dedham American Legion member.

The Consumer Credit Union is offering their annual scholarship. This is a $1600.00 scholarship available to any student that is a member, or whose parents are members, of the Consumers Credit Union of Denison. To apply send a letter of application, resume and high school transcript to Janine Keim, Consumers Credit Union, 1404 Broadway, PO Box 486, Denison, IA 51442

The Iowa Pork Foundation is offering the President's Scholarship to any student that is interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.  This is a $1000.00 scholarship. Applications are available in the guidance office.

T-SHIRTS FOR SALE

As a fundraiser to Cure Cystic Fibrosis.  All proceeds support the team "Andrew's Army" at the Great Strides Walk in Des Moines on May 19th.  Please see Molly Boell for order forms.

AFTER PROM MEAT SALES

The After Prom Meat Sales Fundraiser has begun.  Junior students will get a mailing with the information and the sales sheet.  Money is due at time of order.  Orders due in the high school office by February 29.  Customers pick up their own orders on March 16 from 4-5:30 and March 17 from 9-12.  If you don't get contacted and would like to order, please contact Angie Jensen at CHS, 792-8010.
