Welcome to the Fairview Elementary School Website! I am Mrs. Ruch, the principal of Fairview and Adams Elementary Schools. Ms. Battani is the assistant principal at both Fairview and Adams. Cyndi Nelson is the school secretary.

Students and teachers have been hard at work.  There are approximately eighty dedicated staff members at Fairview including forty-three teachers.  We are thrilled to have 587 K-3 students and 112 preschoolers. That's a total of 699 students!

Playground Basics

I continue to frequently visit classrooms and am always excited to see the progress students are making. Ms. Battani has worked with the PS-3 classroom teachers to implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) across the building. Students have been taught the expectations for good behavior in the classroom, in the lunchroom, and on the playground. Students may come home and share what a 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 voice sounds like. Now that winter is here... sort of... we're definitely in full swing in the school year. In the upcoming weeks and months, we will be testing students in NWEA for their winter scores, on pre-reading and reading skills using Individual Growth and Development Indicators (IGDI's) in preschool and Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Learning Skills (DIBELS) in grades K-3, as well as finishing up the 1st semester! It's hard to believe, but we are already halfway through the 2011-2012 school year!!! By now, a lot has taken place and a lot of knowledge has been attained. Our students continue to be our focus here at Adams, and our community of parents, grandparents, families, Carroll area residents, as well as many others, continue to support our kids' growth and education. Remember, Together, We're Better Than Ever!

We encourage students to wear orange, black, white, or gray on Fridays to show support for CHS teams. This has been a tradition for many years. GO TIGERS!
