Welcome to the Fairview Elementary School Website! I am Mrs. Ruch, the principal of Fairview and Adams Elementary Schools. Ms. Battani is the assistant principal at both Fairview and Adams. Cyndi Nelson is the school secretary. Ms. Battani and myself have been visiting classrooms and are very impressed with the students' eagerness to learn and to work hard.

Again this school year Fairview Elementary will implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is a proactive process that focuses on teaching and supporting positive behavior for all students. Students have been taught the expectations for good behavior in the classroom, in the lunchroom and hallway, and on the playground. Students may come home and share what a 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 voice sounds like or talk about Hallway Basics or Playground Basics. For more information on PBIS please visit their website at pbis.org.
As part of our ongoing focus on character education, joined with our PBIS theme this year, we will be filling buckets based on the book, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today” by Carol McCloud. Through this book students learn that everyone in the world has an invisible bucket that holds all their good thoughts and feelings. When you do something kind for someone you fill their bucket and your bucket gets filled up too. We learn that filling buckets doesn't cost us, but the kindness given is contagious!
