Improving student achievement through continuous school improvement is the key component of Carroll Community School District’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP).

Professional development is the key to continuous school improvement. Carroll Community School District serves approximately 1750 students in grades K – 12. CCSD has two elementary buildings, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative high school building. In addition, the district operates a 4-year old preschool for about 175 youngsters in three different sites throughout the community. "

Infinite Campus - Parent Portal Update

The Carroll Community School District will now begin rolling out parent portal accounts for Infinite Campus.  Please access our Parent/Student Portal Resource page HERE and print off the Parent Portal Application & Agreement Form.  After the form is completed and returned to your child's attendance center, you will receive your activation code via the e-mail address you provide.  Hard copies of this form are also available at all building offices.  You only need to sign up once, no matter how many children you have in the district. Thank you for your patience and support throughout our student information system conversion.

Preschool Registration for the 2012-13 School Year

The Carroll Community School Four-year old Preschool is open to ALL children who will be four years old on or before September 15, 2012. Parents may select to send their child to either the Fairview Elementary or Kuemper Catholic School sites. Forms are also available at the Fairview Elementary School Principal's Office. In the future, we will ask parents to bring  the child's birth certificate and immunization record to be copied. We will also have parents complete a transportation form at that time. Parents cannot request a.m. or p.m. preschool. The assignment of a child into a class will be based on the place where the child is dropped off or picked up during noon time. Kindergarten Registration for the 2012-13 School Year

Registration of kindergarten students for the 2012-13 school year will take place on Monday, February 13, 2012 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Fairview Gymnasium. Parents of students who did not attend the Carroll Community Four-year Old Preschool Program will need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record and physical form. Children must be five years old on or before September 15, 2012.

The Carroll CSD Kindergarten Program is developmentally appropriate. Fairview kindergarten teachers and administration look at the child's academic, social, and emotional needs when planning instruction. Parents, as well as the preschool teacher provide input to help guide decisions with regard to placement. The CCSD offers full day kindergarten and half-day programs.

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is the process by which parents/guardians residing in an Iowa district may enroll their children into another Iowa school district under the terms and conditions of Iowa Code section 282.18 and 281--Iowa Administrative Code 17. More information on Open Enrollment can be found on the Iowa Department of Education website.
