Infinite Campus, A New Student Information System is Coming to CCSD
Beginning the second semester of the 2011 - 2012 school year Carroll Community School District will change from using PowerSchool as the Student Information System to Infinite Campus. Infinite Campus will provide better communication with students, parents, and staff, as well as, help the district with state reporting.
Changing Student Information Systems is a major change initiative for the district and we hope you will be patient with us during this time of transition. Students and parents will be unable to view grades online during the third quarter as our staff learns how to use and navigate the new system. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher(s) via email or telephone if you have questions about assignments or grades.
No later than the beginning of the fourth quarter students and parents will be able to access grades online through the new information system Infinite Campus. We are confident the new Student Information System will be much better in the long run for students, parents, staff, and the Carroll Community School District.
Blue Zones Project
The Carroll Area Schools are partnering with the City of Carroll, local business leaders, and state government officials to transform the city into a Blue Zones Community where people Live Longer, Better and we are asking for your help.
This effort aligns with our district’s mission to partner with the community in the education of our students so they can thrive.
The Blue Zones Project is an effort to help make Iowa No. 1 in the nation for well-being as measured by the Gallup-Healthways Well Being Index. As a significant part of Iowa’s Healthiest State Initiative, it will bring the secrets of the healthiest, happiest, and longest-living cultures in the world to 10 Iowa communities as well as related tools and information for all Iowans.
The top ten communities that demonstrate the greatest passion, interest, and ability to bring their community together will receive assistance from national experts to develop and implement a 5-year blueprint for making changes for citizens to enjoy longer, healthier lives.
Blue Zones Communities will be selected based, in part, on the number of its citizens that sign up on the website below. If you are a Carroll resident and/or wish to help the City of Carroll qualify as a Blue Zones Community, please visit the following website before November 23 and make your voluntary pledge for the community.
