adam haluska playing basketball for the hawkeyes

It’s always fun to look back at the successful Tigers CHS has had throughout the years! The Tiger alumni we will look at today is Adam Haluska, who attended CHS from 1998-2002. He was a successful athlete, scoring 2,209 points over his 4 year basketball career. Also during his 4 years the team finished 1st in the Raccoon River Conference. He led the team in points, field goals, rebounds, and blocks. Not only was he great at basketball, but he was also a great runner, holding records in the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump, and 4x100. The 100m is also the fastest in state history. He then pursued a college basketball career at Iowa State, and then transferring to the University of Iowa to finish his eligibility. In 2007, he was drafted 43rd overall in the NBA draft by the Hornets.  Adam now lives in Solon, Iowa with his wife (also a CHS graduate) Kendra (Bengston) Haluska and their four children.
