Yesterday, three Middle School teams completed at the district History Day competition at Central College. Brennan Vollstedt and Jesse Gay completed in the group exhibit category with a project about Alexander Hamilton and the U.S. Treasury. Wyatt Venner and Ethan Heisterkamp did a project on the Battle of Stalingrad.
In the group performance category, Brooke Stangl, Leah McFarland, Amber Moritz, Jaia Strong, and Zetta Noble got first place and advanced to state. They will compete at state in Des Moines on April 29th.
Yesterday CHS had two teams compete in the district History Day competition at Central College. The team made up of Katelyn McFarland, Chase Madden, Keira Hughes, and Sydney Bellinghausen placed second in the group exhibit category and advanced to state. Aliya Reed, Sophia Tidgren, and Kylie Janning placed first in the group exhibit category and advanced to state. The state competition is on April 29th in Des Moines. Go Tigers!

CHS Mock Trial team qualified for State placing 5th place overall at Regionals in Ames. Sydney Bellinghausen received Outstanding Attorney nominations in both Round 1 and 3. Chase Madden was an Outstanding Witness in Round 1. Ava Blackwell received an outstanding witness nomination for Round 3. State Competition is March 28-29th in Des Moines.
